Apparently one of the marketing fellas from Aqua Teen Hunger Force was arrested for putting up little light-up signs that caused Boston to go into terrorism freakout mode.
In this installment of People Are Idiots, we have... ATHF vs. Boston!
ATHF: As the Current's music blog points out, the point of marketing is to gain attention. However, I've been through all the marketing and advertising classes, and the public relations geek in me liked this blog that a Current reader linked to (which includes a video of the lights). Take a peek at the list of things ATHF could have done to make the campaign run more smoothly. Y'know, all the things someone in charge of marketing SHOULD be thinking of before implementing a campaign. Permits and contacts and interaction, oh my!
Boston: Seriously, people. They look like fucking Lite Brites**. I understand we're living in a post-9/11 world, but come on, take a couple deep breaths here.
